Paramedic Emily Elizabeth Avin of Pamplico, South Carolina, beloved daughter of Ernest Gene and Sue Ann Butler Avin.

Emily was born on May 2, 1991 in Florence. She was a 2009 graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School. After serving as a certified female firefighter for Hannah-Salem-Friendfield Fire Department, Emily became a Paramedic and served Williamsburg, Marion, Florence, Lee and Aiken County EMS and McLeod Heart Reach.

Surviving are her wife, Jessica Weaver Avin of Lake City; her parents, Gene and Sue Ann Avin of Pamplico; brother, Billy Avin and his wife, Taylor, of Florence; one niece on the way, Lillian Reese Avin; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Emily was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Neppie Sue Butler and Wilmer N. Butler; her paternal grandparents, Jacquelyn Bostick Avin and Ralph Eugene Avin, Jr.

PM Emily Elizabeth Avin lost her battle on September 27, 2017. She was 26 years old.
